Member Registration

Any individual or group that supports the purposes of the NBSBC may become a member, as we welcome anyone who has an interest in native bee conservation in British Columbia.

Benefits of Membership:

  • Members will receive notice of Society meetings;

  • Members are entitled to vote on Society matters;

  • Members can join and contribute to specialist groups and subcommittees of the Society, such as our Outreach and Education team and Native Bee Study Group;

  • Members will receive our newsletter The Quarterly Buzz with pertinent information on work being conducted to protect and promote native bee conservation in British Columbia.

In 2023, NBSBC became an affiliate member of BC Nature, joining a growing community of over 50 local nature clubs working across the Province to protect biodiversity and lead stewardship and education initiatives. As well as all the NBSBC member benefits listed above, this collaboration automatically allows our members access to all BC Nature activities and voting rights, student awards, as well as the quarterly BC Nature magazine, either digitally (free) or a mailed paper version ($5 additional fee annually).  See the full announcement here.

We don't want finances to be a barrier to anyone joining our society. Email bcnativebees@gmail.com with the subject line "Free Membership" to be added to our member list.
